Criada pela Lei nº 2.480, de 09/11/1878 como Comarca do Bom Jardim, composta pelos termos de Turvo e Bom Jardim, renomeado para Comarca do Turvo pela Lei nº 11, 13/11/1891, acabou suprimida pela Lei nº 375, de 19/09/1903, com o termo de Turvo sendo transferido para a Comarca de Aiuruoca e restaurado pela Lei nº 663, de 18/09/1915.
A comarca novamente passou por uma mudança de denominação pela Lei nº 1.160, 19/09/1930, passando a denominar Andrelândia, assim como o município de Turvo.
